Creationism Explained

I was so confused until I saw this video.

Now you can see how the world is only 4,000 years old or maybe 4,300 years if you watch more. Lucky you:

Funnnnnnnny.. this viewpoint appears to be shared by Stockwell Day.

Post-script for after the Crooks & Liars hit parade started up. Those of you visiting who might not know about Stockwell Day, Canada's Minister of Public Safety, a leading creationist and the former leader of Canada's governing Conservative Party.

As all human beings are, in my view, creatures of God's design. -Stockwell Day

We really need electoral reform in Canada.

Good grief. The continual idiocy of these people never ceases to amaze. It actually started to hurt by the time I got halfway through the drivel. Straw men, deliberate misrepresentations, and outright lies. Welcome to the mind of a Creationist.

I'll go one better: these so-called scientists who espouse creationist fluff should have their degrees and credentials revoked, as would be the case, for example, for any quack found in medicine.

A chemist lecturing on geology. Hmmm, I have my degrees in psychology so if I put on a labcoat then that can turn me into a heart surgeon. My parents only had two children, according to the creationist they must have had four. Either they are very well hidden or else they'll pop them out in the next 90 years.

What's this about tracing the geneology of Jesus through Joseph? Mary was supposed to have conceived through the power of the Holy Spirit, so Joseph's lineage is irrelevant. These Creationists can't even get their theology straight.

He shoots himself in the foot when he averages out the generations to 50 years. According to the Bible, which is the authoritative source, of course, many of the descendants of Adam, including Noah, (Genesis 5:1-32), lived hundreds of years--a decent number up to 900 hundred years or more. It's amazing how the Old Testament gets cherry-picked to justify every argument. There is so much mythology and allegory, I can't believe anyone takes it literally.

I liked John's dinosaur tie. What a badass. You go John, you stick it to the evolutionist MAN.

Like most proud right wingers I can say with great pride that Evolution has no real place in American science.

And that whole Gravity thing isn't playing too well either....
